"So much of what we call management consists of making it difficult for people to do their work." - Peter Drucker

"We don't raise to our level of expectations, we fall to our level of training." - Archilochus

"A goal without a method is cruel." - W.Edward Deming

LEADERSHIP ACCELERATOR PROGRAM - A 4 day intense program, by invitation only, that starts with a 700% ROI and goes up from there.

Despite our best intentions, we are at times letting our people and, as a result, our company down.

We regularly confuse the management of people with project management: over-supervising their work or becoming distracted remedying the constantly changing drama in an organization. We miss the opportunities, as managers, to embrace the right type of conflict that makes the organization healthier, instead facilitating environments that promote the wrong type of conflict resulting in frantic behavior and organizational anxiety. We are not enabling our teams to achieve the level of excitement and purpose that their profession should bring to their lives. Our people are fearful for the wrong reasons and then look for validation from external sources or compare themselves to others, neither of which provide the confidence that they actually seek and need.

We have learned these lessons the hard way. Hence, we are excited to offer a Leadership Accelerator Program: to help companies live up to their commitment of developing leaders and to coach individuals to drive others to reach their full potential, which results in the personal discovery of their own growth.

The outcomes from the program include:
  1. A safe environment to push people outside of their comfort zone that becomes habit
  2. Demonstrate to participants how they can be the change they want to see and how to embrace pressure
  3. Provide an unbiased and objective perspective on their individual strengths, challenges and mental models
  4. Learn that the ultimate measure of success is based on the impact we have in the lives of others
  5. Recognize that it is the journey and not the destination that provides us the greatest rewards
  6. Show how a strong manager, like a great teacher, can make an exponential difference to the performance of others that are life lasting
  7. Understand the skills required to help individuals and organizations cope and flourish with change
  8. Drive the path from dependent, to independent and, ultimately, to interdependent for the benefit of individual, team and organization

Specific programs range from CEO to first time manager

Self Development

  • It is no longer about you - yet it is!  Understand this paradigm shift and true definition of your role
  • The compliment and paradox of Leadership and Management.  The goal is to attain excellence in both, but the differences need to be understood and respected
  • Hiring - the science of who and the art of identifying it.  It starts with your own biases and beliefs and what you want is not the same as what you need
  • Understanding and managing your boss.  You have more control than you think on your own accountability and performance
  • Power of humility and conviction.  You can only fake it for so long
  • The right type of fear that becomes infectious
  • Time Management.  The finite resource of time that is a gift requiring us to prioritize and understand what is important
  • How to be a real teammate.  The commitment and requirements are often misunderstood and as a result we struggle in working well with others during difficult times

The Sum Is Greater than the Parts (Organizational Excellence)

  • Influencing and collaboration across functions.  It requires a simple but difficult approach in mindset and communication
  • How to properly structure cross-functional meetings.  An approach that brings respect, focus, vulnerability and action to all participants
  • What is Customer Centricity and how it can be the catalyst for changing the trajectory and performance of many
  • Role Definitions - the big miss for many companies that starts everything off on the wrong foot
  • Demonstrate how amazing it is and what can be accomplished when no one cares who gets the credit
  • Understanding the framework and structure to scale judgement
  • What all great teams have in common that most people would consider a sign of weakness

Driving Performance

  • Coaching to numbers.  The critical component of the art that makes the science work
  • The right KPI's and the power of observation.  Show me what you look at and I will tell you who you are
  • 1 on 1s. The real purpose, right structure and who really owns it
  • Team Meetings.  The significant power that most miss that bring urgency and learning required for achieving high performance
  • Compensation and Incentives.  The principles and application that bring real alignment and performance to the individual, team and company - it is a team sport
  • Effectiveness versus Efficiency.  If you do not get this right then be prepared for many difficult meetings and missed targets that bring anxiety and confusion to the entire organization
  • Consistency that is required to drive change.  Why people do what they do that affects the overall performance of a team at various stages of a company
  • Why performance management is at the very essence of the soul of an organization.  Without it there is no foundation to build upon
